The future of the AA and appointment of the Director

Here are the main points of concerns and demands that were expressed at the student community meeting on monday 2nd november, and that we will be looking for Brett to address on Friday:

• We want the Director to be more present in the academic life of the school
• We want to know how the units/tutors/course are decided, and on what criteria
• We want to be able to give our opinions about tutors/units/courses and for these opinions to be considered in the choice of the new academic year. The system of one year contracts must be used to its full advantages.
• We want the Director to be attentive and responsive present student concerns/comments/suggestions.
• We want to know how the space of the school is going to be used ans when the changes will happen.
• We want to know why the tuition fees increase every year and how our money is being spent, pence per pence.
• We want there to be greater intergration between the different schools within the school
• We want to insure that the feeling of the "AA familly" is not neglected
• We want to see the return of research clusters
• We want the role relationship between council, director and students to be demystified and clear
